Welcome to my website!

I was peer-pressured by my cooler and more tech-literate friends Bunny/aka Ratcatcher and Ally into pivoting from the old Insta to a more personal world, outside the algorithm/metaverse/big data collection of all the personal info I hold near and dear etcetera.

Anyway it sounded fun and anarchic and a combination of goofy and earnest that I could get behind, so here I am, learning to write code. Oh God. Please bear with me.

So, without further ado, welcome to the wonderful world of pfeffernüsse!

And just what is pfeffernüsse, you might ask?

• a sort of digital scrapbook; a dumping ground of ramblings, relics and recipes, musings and musics; an insight into my chaotic mind
• made by me, Gilbert Sophia
• a very excellent German biscuit, sort of like gingerbread, but fluffier and with more pepper. The ALDI version has a crispy sugar shell, and those are the ones we ate at big family Easters, so those are the ones cememented as the One True Pfeffernüsse in my mind.
